DIY Anti-itch Detox Wash

DIY Anti-itch Detox Wash

This is great for those of you, who like me, get dandruff and an irritated scalp.

My mum (Susanne) told me that she had been playing around with some ingredients in her hair. She said that she was so impressed at how soft and shiny her hair was without having to use actual shampoo or conditioner.

I thought it sounded great but was sceptical as she has short thin hair, whereas I have very thick hair.

Alas, I gave it a go. I made a mix with Bentonite clay, Apple Cider Vinegar & Aloe Vera gel.

For my shoulder length, thick hair I used about a heaped tablespoon of clay (Try to use a non-metal spoon), about a tablespoon of aloe vera gel, and then just poured in some apple cider vinegar (around 1/4 - 1/5 a cup). You can trial this amount and then re-assess if you need more or less.

I applied and massaged it through my wet hair (its non-foaming of course) and left it to soak in for around 5-10 minutes.

After I had rinsed it out, I was able to comb through my hair easily and my hair was shiny. Best of all, my dandruff appears to be disappearing!!!!

This is my new go-to hair care treatment. Simple, affordable & effective. Just the way I like it 😊

These are ingredients that many of you may already have at home. For those of you who don't, we have these ingredients available in bulk in our store, and we have them pre packed for online sale 😊

Aloe Vera Gel (we get ours from Zurma NZ, you can also blend up some fresh aloe Vera if you have that at home)
